Myth 1: The Master Cleanse is a Weight Loss and Detox Formula
The original master cleanse lemonade diet is an excellent detox, but never a superior weight loss diet. Don't get dishearten because with a few tweaks to the formulation, you can turn it into an effective weight loss diet. I'll give you more information about using master cleanse foe weight loss and detox later.
Granted that a lot of people losing weight while on the cleanse, but not everyone managed to keep those extra pounds off for good. Nonetheless, knowing that it's possible to loss weight and detox at the same time motivates a lot of people to try out the original master cleanse formula.

When on master cleanse, probably you already know that your calories intake is around 600. That's way below your daily calories intake on a normal day. On the average, women require about 2000 calories per day while men need about 2700 calories. This is provided that there's no vigorous workout.
While it's perfectly alright to cut down on calories, doing so on a prolong basis slows down your metabolism rate.
The next moment, when you are back on your normal diet, your calories intake become too much for your metabolism handle.

They are present in the air we breathe, the food we eat, and the water that we drink. These products that we depend on daily expose us to literally tens of thousands of chemicals and contaminants each day, making the question clear, how do we detoxify? With the hundreds of detoxification products ranging from one simple supplement to complicated regimens, how do we choose the best product for us?
Detoxification, which is the elimination of poisons or toxins, includes a wide variety of treatments that aim at getting rid of the body's toxins and improve health. Although we have a natural detoxification system in our body such as our liver, lungs, kidneys, gastrointestinal tract, and skin all work to eliminate the toxins we take in, the huge amount of contaminants and toxins in today's environment presents too challenging of our job for our body to handle on its own. This results in a dangerous accumulation of toxins in our body. <Sudden Switch Over>
I think I can assume that you are on solid food all the time. For a lot of people, shifting from solid food to the master cleanse diet suddenly will be too much to handle. It's too drastic.
Consciously or subconsciously, you'll be constantly reminded that you have not taken anything solid for a while. And it's not a comfortable feeling.
Instead of a suddenly switch, you can opt for a gradual transition. Begin with a meal of lemonade and progressively reduce solid food till you are totally on the Master Cleanse diet.
<Failure to Dealing with Hunger>
This is closely linked to the earlier point. The first 3 days are the hardest to get by. There will always be strong temptation to eat.

What should you do? Avoid places where you can be tempted. And if the program you are watching is constantly reminding you of food, stop watching. Switch it off.

<Roller Coaster Weight Loss>
On the average, you can lose 2 pounds a day. And mathematically it means that in 30 days, you can lose 60 pounds. Sounds like an easy way to shed weight?
But you may want to know that once you are off the master cleanse, in the same amount of time, you can put back everything plus a few extra pounds. What happen?
Mathematically, shedding 60 pounds looks easy. You just need to extend the body cleanse. The problem is, once you are in the body cleanse for too long, your metabolism start to slow down to adjust to your new diet pattern.
And when you are back to normal diet, the food intake is too much for your newly conditioned body to handle. Simply put, you can't metabolize as much calories as you used to do. And these calories turned into fats.
My recommendation to you is to stay on the master cleanse for 10 days max. That's the optimum number of days to experience the amazing effect of this internal body cleanse. Don't be afraid to go under 10 days or stop if you feel uncomfortable during your lemonade diet regime.
